What about the carbon footprint to get them to India?

The containers which are used to ship the glassine to India will be ones that have already brought goods into the UK and would have previously returned to India empty so we will not be adding to our carbon footprint.

What do I have to do?

Effectively nothing, however you will need to ensure the waste is provided back to us in accordance with our specifications.
