The following green glossary is the only place you will ever need to visit to fully understand all of the green terminology that gets used.
Aerobic In the presence of air (Oxygen).
Anaerobic digestion Is a treatment that composts waste (food, garden waste, card and paper) in the absence of oxygen, producing a biogas that can be used to generate electricity and heat.
Biodegradable means that a material will be broken down by micro-organisms found in the environment. It will be digested by these organisms, forming CO2 and water. It will be completely broken down in a reasonable timeframe.
