There are no certified compostable inks available for UV Letterpress and UV Flexographic. Therefore we need to look carefully at the amount of ink used in the label design. Our BioTAK™ range has been certified inclusive of the inks.

The following are general guidelines for you to use to when working on your designs -

* Total of inks should be below 5%, with each ink not exceeding 1%, of the total pack weight. (Based on the assumption that the other components of the pack also conform to EN13432 if they are not, then it is 5% of the weight of the label).
* Water based varnish preferred
